Joe Satriani, Sammy Hagar, Chad Smith and Michael Anthony came together as Chickenfoot in 2009. In a matter of months the band was selling out shows across the country, went to number one on the Billboard charts and their debut CD went gold in the US and Canada. In February and March 2010, while the band is on hiatus from live touring, Virtual Venues Network will host virtual concert fan club screenings of the "foot", on stage in Phoenix, at select club and college campus venues.

Featured artists who will be performing music written by and associated with Jimi Hendrix include Billy Cox (bass), from the same Jimi Hendrix Experience rhythm section that played behind Hendrix at such landmark rock festivals as Woodstock and the Isle of Wight, contemporary guitar greats Joe Satriani, Jonny Lang, Eric Johnson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Ernie Isley, David Hidalgo and Cesar Rojas of Los Lobos as well as Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford. Doyle Bramhall II, Living Color and Chris Layton, the legendary Double Trouble drummer who rose to fame backing Stevie Ray Vaughan are also part of the tour. Experience Hendrix has promised that special guests will also appear throughout the tour.
